Manawa Ora Recovery Programme for Tāne (Men)
This 15-week recovery course includes workshops held twice weekly, focusing on understanding triggers, exploring and addressing our issues, developing coping strategies, breaking patterns of negative thinking, strengthening wellbeing, learning healthy routines, and creating a personalised recovery plan, followed by 5 months of Peer Support.
Grounded in Te Whare Tapa Whā and guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including the principles of Partnership, Participation, and Protection, this programme focuses on strengthening the whole person through practical tools and ongoing support every step of the way.

What the Programme Offers
Phase One (15 Weeks)
A supportive group recovery course two afternoon sessions per week where you will:
- Understand the root causes and triggers of addiction
- Strengthen your mental, emotional, physical, and social wellbeing.
- Learn practical life skills like budgeting, healthy routines, and goal setting.
- Build a personalised recovery plan for your journey forward.
- Develop relapse prevention strategies.
Phase Two (5 Months)
Ongoing, one-on-one peer support to help you stay on track:
- Weekly meetings with a Peer Support Navigator.
- Guidance with goal setting, next steps, and accountability.
- Support to reconnect with whānau and community.
- Building confidence, purpose.
Who Is This For?
- Tāne (men) beginning their recovery journey after detox.
- Tāne (men) struggling with addiction or self-destructive behaviours alongside mental health challenges.
